God has blessed us with some beautiful, multitalented, all purpose Labrador retrievers.
We breed for show, companion, hunting, and obedience, as well as assist dogs, from outstanding show champion, and AKC hunting titled pedigrees from the finest of English bloodlines, not to mention some of the most influential dogs of all ages.
Our primary objective is the IMPROVEMENT OF THE BREED through selective breeding; correct conformation; and by producing healthy Labradors that excel in type, temperament, and trainability.
All Breeding stock must posses the "true" Labrador temperament, which is a hallmark of the Labrador Retriever; as well as a representative of "breed type" in relation to the AKC standard, or the English Standard.
We do Not breed, sell, or consign puppies or adults to pet shops, brokers, back yard breeders, or any other commercial dealers. ( nor offer them at auction.
Our puppies are available to exceptional loving homes, where they can become a member of the family first, and foremost.
Prospective puppy buyers are interviewed, as we want our puppies to go to the best possible homes where they are responsibly cared for and loved.
It is very important that we know the intentions, (hopes, plans, and dreams) of the prospective puppy buyer. Puppies are selected according to the life style in which they will live. Every effort is made to provide the client with a Labrador Retriever that will best fit with their life style. We want our puppies to go to homes in which they will be a blessing to the family, and visa versa.
To further assist us in evaluating the litter, a temperament test is performed at about the puppy's seventh week of age. This test includes evaluating responses to: Sound Sensitivity, Restraint, Retrieving, Following, Correction, Recovery Coming When Called.
Our puppies are born & raised inside our house where they are receive a lot of tender loving care insuring they will be well socialized.
Before going to their new home, Canaanland Labrador puppies, receive their first puppy vaccinations (Progard Puppy DPv), are de-wormed, and vet-checked.
All puppies are sent home with complete feeding and care instructions as well as educational materials to make the transition of the puppy from our home to your home as smoothly as possible.
We do have experience in shipping, and will ship out of St. Louis International
or Memphis, Tennessee International airport, depending on who has the best
flight arrangements for the puppy or dog.
